Urban Coverage Index Calculation
Urban Coverage Index Calculation (NDBI)sentinel2
First, we open data for the second and eighth range, where the domains of the urban index of the satellite sentinel2 are as follows:
Normalized Difference Built up Index (NDBI)=(band8-band2)/(band8+band2)
Also open the data on the boundaries of the study area about this from the table of contents list right button on Add Data and then choose the path and open what we need, as follows:

We cut domains on a scale by study area limits using clip as explained earlier.
With arc Toolbox menu we choose spatial analyst tools and then we choose raster calculator:

We have the following window where we type the previous equation in it as follows, and then we save this resulting layer where we choose the save path from output rater tab and then Ok as follows:
Our results show the following:

We reclassify the results using Arc Toolbox as we have a window that we import the previous file into this window either by dragging and dropping into input raster rectangle or by importing by location of preservation, and then clicking on Classify for wider options.

To categorize as follows:
We open our Categoriz list, we choose method rating method, we choose the number of areas from Classes and Beak Values, we develop the values in which we want to restrict the domain, which is the first area.
[-0.63,021] Represents urban areas and areas [0.21,0.65] representing non-urban areas where this method is the manual method of classification, i.e. manual method and then Ok, Ok as follows:

Our figure appeared as follows:

We modify the colors for clear appearance by double-clicking the layer, then opening the Symbology window and ok, as in the following form:

Our final output is as follows:

Red is urban and green, non-urban areas.
